Shutdown Procedures

The Shutdown/Turnaround Procedures Manual is a reference tool that provides a “best practice” process for industrial maintenance shutdowns. It defines a clear direction by establishing all necessary components in a series of steps that are necessary to obtain best possible results.

Several situations may be encountered that can easily jeopardize the success of: maximizing resources, preventing unnecessary costs, retaining control, staying on schedule (avoid deviation of the “critical path”) and the effectiveness of getting the job done. For these reasons, it is strongly recommended that a Shutdown Manager who is trained and competent in plant shutdown management coordinates the shutdown/turnaround.  In order to do this at a company (non third party) level, tools and training is required.

Denco Shutdown Services has developed a tried and proven training and shutdown management process. Our clients as well as project managers within our own company are successfully utilizing these processes and practices. Denco Shutdown Services has proven its process time and time again in all aspects of shutdown management.  Detailed and customized Shutdown/Turnaround Procedures are available and include all forms that are associated with the shutdown process.

Using a milestone chart with over 100 items listed, you are sure not to miss anything that will lead to delays and unidentified work. All activities on the milestone chart are a full procedure, which is defined in the Denco shutdown Procedures manual for reference. All procedures have a clear definition with the purpose, person or department responsible, time prior to or after each shutdown.

The report focuses on key points of the organizational process to maximize your team's ability to communicate specific activities in the planning process.
